Parents and Citizens Association
The P&C is a member of FOSCO (Federation of School Community Organisations).
It supports the whole school K-6 and meets once a month in the school library
with meetings commencing at 7:30pm. The exact date is advertised in the school
newsletter. All are welcome.
The Association is managed by a group of parent volunteers who act as an
executive committee. P&C Subcommittees are Band, Classroom Refurbishment,
Canteen, Grounds, Sustainability Team and Uniform Shop. Each of these
subcommittees are also run completely by parent volunteers.
Our Association is affiliated with the Federation of P&Cs and is represented
at Regional meetings and at Federation’s Annual General Meeting.
The objectives of the P&C Association are:
- to promote the interests of the school by bringing parents, pupils and
teaching staff into close co-operation.
- to assist in providing equipment required by the school.
- to advise the Department of School Education and Training on matters
relating to the material and educational requirements of the school.
Fundraising is another aspect of the P&C. Money is raised for specific
purposes (e.g. classroom refurbishments) and teaching resources (e.g., readers,
musical instruments etc.).
