What is it?
This is a great opportunity for TPS parents and students to buy fabulous books
and other great resources plus, at the same time, earn bonus points for the
school. These bonus points are then used to purchase more books and educational
resources for the classrooms and the library. The parents and students have
access to fantastic books at discount prices and it's a great way to encourage
and promote reading!
In 2006 Turramurra Public School earned more than $4500 worth of free
books/resources.
How does it work?
Once each term, four times during the year, the co-ordinators distribute
age-appropriate issues to each classroom. Forms are handed out to the children
for them to take home and they, along with their parents, can choose if they
wish to purchase any books.
The forms must then be carefully filled out with the child's name and class and
returned (with enclosed payment) to the box marked "Scholastic Bookclub" in
either the Infant office or Primary office before the due date.
The due date each term is listed in the School Newsletter.
Payment can be either credit card, cheque or cash (exact money only).
Parents wishing to buy books/resources as gifts need only to make a note of this
(along with their telephone number) on the order form and the co-ordinators will
contact you directly when the gift arrives to arrange collection.
Any further questions can be directed to the Bookclub Co-ordinators who are more
than happy to assist you with your enquiries.
